Ada Virginia "Ginny or MawMaw" Wills, 95, of Madams Creek, Hinton went home to be with her Lord 11:00 AM Saturday, August 24, 2019 at the Summers Nursing and Rehabilitation Center following a long illness.
Born August 9, 1924 at Sand Knob, she was a daughter of the late Homer Lee and Ora Hamm Lilly.
Ginny was a former member of Martha's Chapel United Methodist Church where she served as a beloved Sunday School teacher for 28 years. Currently a member of the Laurel Creek Baptist Church, a former employee of the G. C. Murphy Company, and loved flower gardening, cooking, sewing, crocheting and making the best biscuits in Summers County.
Ginny was preceded in death by her husband Clarence R. Wills; one son, Jimmy Ray Wills; one grandson, Jimmy Ray Wills, Jr.; daughter in law, Sue Wills; siblings, Faye Hamm, Donald and Darrell Hamm, Mildred Messer, Elsie Hamm, Lorene Tyree, Jacqueline Brumit, Charles and Phillip Lilly.
Those left to cherish her memory include her children; Robert A. Wills of Madams Creek, Melvin Wills and wife Shirley of Shady Spring, Eddie Wills and wife Ginger of Madams Creek; grandchildren, Libby Meadows and husband Tim, Michael Wills, Allen Wills and wife Laura, Curtis Wills and wife Tracey, Andy Wills and wife Jodi; nine great grandchildren; brothers, Bill Lilly, Mack Hamm, and Frank Hamm; sisters, Myrtle Harvey, Mae Hurt, Geraldine Meadows and Shelby Warden; Ginny had numerous adopted children, grandchildren and friends.
Funeral services will be 11:00 A.M. Tuesday August 27, 2019 at the Ronald Meadows Funeral Parlors Chapel with Pastors Melvin Wills and Junior Seawell officiating. Burial will follow in the Restwood Memorial Gardens near Hinton. Friends may call from 6-8 P.M. Monday at the funeral parlors. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
