Alfred M. ?Junior? Harvey Jr., 68, of Hinton went home to be with his beloved mother Tuesday, November 19, 2013 at the Summers County Appalachian Regional Hospital following a sudden illness.
Born October 5, 1945 at Alexandria, VA he was a son of the late Alfred M. Sr. and Cynthia E. Gill Harvey.
Alfred had lived most of his life in Summers County. He loved western movies, reading, writing short stories, learning and taking care of his pets. Alfred took great pride in receiving his GED in 2006.
He was preceded in death by paternal grandparents, Everette and Eddie Harvey; maternal grandparents, Samuel and Mintie Gill and one brother Lloyd E. Harvey.
Those left to cherish his memory include, one sister, Sandra R. Harvey of Hinton; one brother, Wayne S. Harvey and wife Elizabeth of San Diego, CA; two nephews, Eric M. Harvey and Charles W. Harvey; one niece, Audra J. Ulrich and husband Tim; two great nephews, Robert A. Yancey Jr. and Coty E. Yancey and wife Savanna and one great great niece, Natalie Paige Yancey.
Funeral services will be held 2:30 P.M. Friday, November 22, 2013 at Ronald Meadows Funeral Parlors Chapel with Pastor Eddie Crews officiating. Burial will follow in the Gill Family Cemetery. Friends may call from 6:00 ? 8:00 P.M. Thursday at the funeral parlor.
Family will serve as pallbearers.
Arrangements are by the Ronald Meadows Funeral Parlors of Hinton.
