Alfred Ward

Alfred Tunnie Ward, 77, of Elk Knob passed away July 15, 2009 at Summers County Nursing and Rehab Center following a long illness. Born March 7, 1932 in Summers County, he was the son of the late William and Macil Carter Ward and was of the Baptist Faith. Alfred was preceded in death by two brothers, Delford and James Ward and two sisters, Geneva and Dorothy Ward. Survivors include one brother, Clifford Ward and wife Lillie of Elk Knob and two sisters, Edith Watts of Oak Hill and Juanita Tickle of Jumping Branch and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held 2:00 P.M. Sunday, July 19, 2009 at the Ronald Meadows Funeral Parlors Chapel with Pastor Melvin Wills officiating. Burial will follow in the Cales Cemetery on Chestnut Mountain. Friends may call from 6-8 P.M. on Saturday at the Funeral Parlors. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
