Alice Boone

March 13, 1922 — December 9, 2009

Mary Alice Boone, 87, of Hilldale entered into eternal rest and reunited with her loving family, Wednesday, December 09, 2009 following a short illness.

Born March 13, 1922 at Ronceverte she was a daughter of the late Charles Lewis and Elizabeth Jackson Boone Morgan. A member of Mt. Pisgah United Methodist Church where as long as her health permitted she faithfully served as treasurer, Sunday school teacher, choir member, womens circle and the flower club. Dedicated homemaker who took care of her family faithfully all of her life, she enjoyed gospel sings, needle point, quilting and was known for her exceptional baking.

Preceded in death by her brothers and sisters, Herman Morgan, Thelma Howard, Rev. Ed Morgan, Charlotte Reed, Annabelle Johnson, Wallace Morgan, Ralph Boone, Alfred Boone and Iva Hall.

Survived by four brothers, Edward A. Boone and Roy L. Boone both of Hilldale, Rev. Sterling Morgan and wife Sue of Lewisburg and Victor G. Morgan and wife Martha of Hinton; one sister, Barbara Morgan Scott and husband Bob of Wilmington, Delaware and numerous nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews whom she felt were her grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held 1:00 P.M. Saturday, December 12, 2009 at Mt. Pisgah United Methodist Church, Hilldale with Rev. Gary Baker and Rev. Sterling Morgan officiating. Burial will follow in the Adwell Cemetery at Ronceverte. Friends may call from 11:00 A.M. until time of services on Saturday.

Nephews will serve as pallbearers.

The family would like to thank her niece Barbara Sue Windon for her loving care given, Dr. Stanley Day and his staff for their kindness and care along with the staff of Kanawha Hospice Care.
