Alice Faye Erskine, 80, went home to be with the Lord January 2, 2019 at Mission Hospital McDowell in Marion, NC following a long illness.
Born August 9, 1938 in Monroe County she was a daughter of the late Weldon C. and Ruth Wickline Scott.
Alice was a factory worker at Bassett Furniture in Bassett, VA and a homemaker. She enjoyed fishing, the outdoors, gardening, playing cards, bird watching and reading. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.
Alice was preceded in death by two brothers, John Franklin Scott and Elmer Buddy Scott.
Those left to cherish her memory include her husband Jack L. Erskine at home; one son, Randy Phillips and wife Patty of Georgetown, KY; two grandchildren, Corey Phillips and wife Katelyn, Brandon Phillips and fiancé Hannah Armstrong; one great grandchild, Britton Phillips.
Funeral service will be 2:00 P.M. Sunday, January 6, 2019 at the Ronald Meadows Funeral Parlors Chapel with Pastor Terry Utterback officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Alexander Church Cemetery at Sarton. Friends may call from 6:00 - 8:00 P.M. Saturday at the funeral parlors. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
