Alice "Anna" Simmons

Alice L “Anna” Simmons, 63, of Pence Springs went home to be with the Lord and gained her wings Tuesday, March 1, 2022 at Summers County Appalachian Regional Hospital following a sudden illness.

Born October 10, 1958 at White Sulphur Springs she was a daughter of the late Sandy Paris and Alice Madeline May Simmons.

Anna was of the Baptist faith. She enjoyed coloring, books, watching birds and television and spending time with family and friends.

Anna was preceded in death by one brother, Gary Simmons and two sisters, Sandra Simmons and Virginia Simmons.

Those left to cherish her memory include five brothers, Robert E. Simmons of Pence Springs, Roger L. Simmons of Lewisburg, Sandy P. Simmons Jr. of PA, Kenny Simmons of Fairlea and Michael Simmons of Pence Springs and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be 12:00 P.M. Monday, March 7, 2022 at Pence Springs Community Church with Pastor Roger Persinger officiating. Burial will follow in the Haven of Rest Cemetery at Pence Springs.  Friends may call from 11:00 A.M. until time of services at the church on Monday. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
