Alma Lois Cyrus, 54, of Clarksburg, formerly of Green Sulphur Springs passed away Wednesday, January 27, 2016 at the Summers Nursing and Rehabilitation Center following a courageous battle with cancer.
Born January 11, 1962 at Hinton, she was a daughter of the late Dempsey and Helen Burnette Cyrus.
Alma was of the Baptist Faith, enjoyed church functions, reading her Bible, donating to her favorite charities, donating her time volunteering at local hospitals, and caring for animals.
Besides her parents she is preceded in death by one infant brother, Dempsey Cyrus Jr.
Those left to cherish her memory include her sister; Nancy Hartwell and husband Jimmy of Green Sulphur Springs; nephew, Joey Hartwell and wife Heather of Roanoke, VA; niece, Kim Cole and husband Gary of Green Sulphur Springs; great nephews, Chase and Channing Cole and great niece, Sophie Hartwell.
Funeral services will be 3 PM Sunday, January 31, 2016 at the Ronald Meadows Funeral Parlors Chapel with Pastor Robbie Merritt officiating. Burial will follow in the Hix Family Cemetery. Friends may call from 1 PM until time of services Sunday at the funeral parlors. In lieu of flowers donations of sympathy may be made to the Summers Co. Humane Society at P.O. Box 236 Hinton, WV 25951.
