Alonzo Howard Williams, 78, of Tempa passed away surrounded by his loving family Saturday, February 8, 2020 at his home following a long illness.
Born January 12, 1942 at Washington DC he was a son of the late Lawrence and Dorothy Fleshman Williams.
Alonzo was a member of the Hinton Church of Christ. He was a former Summers County Deputy Sheriff, truck driver and coal miner. Alonzo enjoyed hunting and spending time with family and friends.
He was preceded in death by one brother, Curtis Williams.
Those left to cherish his memory include his loving and faithful wife of 55 years Elsie Boone Williams; one son, Paul Williams and wife Gina of NC; one daughter, Angela Bender of Tempa; eight grandchildren; six great grandchildren; two sisters, Geneva Bundy and Mary Matthews, both of OH and two brothers, Carl Williams of FL and Ralph Williams of OH.
A private family burial will be held at a later date.
Arrangements are by the Ronald Meadows Funeral Parlors of Hinton.
