Alton Via, 64, of Hinton passed away Friday, April 24, 2015 at Summers County Appalachian Regional Hospital following a brief illness.
Born November 3, 1950 at Hinton he was a son of the late Letha and Mattie Adkins Via.
Alton worked as a carpenter.
He was preceded in death by one brother, Gary Via.
Alton is survived by four sisters, Sandra Via of Hinton, Ogrete Simmons (Bob) of Eagle Rock, VA, Glenda Nesbitt of Columbus, OH, Elva Richmond of Covington, VA; a special friend, Effie Henry; one niece and one nephew.
Funeral services will be 1:00 P.M. Wednesday, April 29, 2015 at Ronald Meadows Funeral Parlors Chapel with Pastor Melvin Wills officiating. Burial will follow in the Restwood Memorial Gardens in Hinton. Friends may call from noon until time of services Wednesday at the funeral parlors.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
