Amma Bragg

Amma Ruth Lilly Bragg, 93 of Hopewell VA formally of Jumping Branch died Friday morning November 16, 2007 at the John Randolph Medical Center in Hopewell VA following a Short illness. Born September 26, 1914 at Flat Top WV, she was the daughter of the late Henley Taylor and Della Blaine Farley Farley. Mrs. Bragg had been a resident of Hopewell VA for the past 16 years and was a retired Summers County School System cook at Jumping Branch Elementary. She was preceded in death by her first husband George Christopher Lilly and her second husband Caley Cecil Bragg and also her nephew Stewart Lilly. Survivors include two daughters Virginia Spain and husband Herbert and Janice Marks and husband Clyde both of Hopewell VA. A step-daughter Shirley Perkins and husband Russell of Prosperity WV and a step-son Harold Bragg of Ellison Ridge. One brother Paul Farley of Martinsville VA and her sister Reva Lilly of Jumping Branch. Four grandchildren, Michael Ellison and wife Julie, Kim Strubel, Cathy Arpaia and husband Don and Pam Wallace and husband Dale all of Hopewell. Seven great-grandchildren Brandon and Audrey Ellison, Remington Strubell, Wade and Josh Wallace and Hunter and Trevor Arpaia. Four nieces and nephews, Margie Arthur, Andoro Giffen, Larry Farley and Carolyn McVey. And six special caregivers.
Viewing Information: Friends may call from 5 to 7 PM at the funeral parlor.
Funeral Information: Funeral services will be at 11 AM Monday, November 19, 2007 at the Ronald Meadows Funeral Parlor Chapel with Pastor Roy McVey officiating. Burial will follow in the Lilly-Crews Cemetery at Nimitz WV. Friends may call from 5 to 7 PM at the funeral parlor. Family members will serve as pallbears.
