Amy Juanita Arnold, 89, of Talcott died Saturday, August 17, 2013 at the Main Street Care Nursing Facility and is resting in peace following a long illness.
Born March 20, 1924 at Giles County, VA she was a daughter of the late Claude M. and Sue Weiss Trivett.
Amy lived most of her life in Summers County and was a homemaker, dedicated to raising and taking care of her family. She was a faithful Christian who enjoyed gardening, flower gardening, family reunions, cooking and spending time with family and friends.
Preceded in death by husband, Joshua Arnold; daughter, Diane Sue Arnold; son, Herman Lee Arnold; two brothers, Roscoe Trivett and Leroy Trivett; two sisters, Myrtle Wykle and Ruby Parker.
Amy leaves behind the legacy of a much beloved large family including her children, Hazel Marie Hughes and husband Paul of Washington, Ruby Bennett and husband Ronald of Zion Mt., Nora Tillery of Rocky Mount, NC, Ralph Arnold and wife Juanita of Barger Springs, Betty Maroni of Mt. Vernon, IL, David Arnold of Trout, WV and Tena Smith and husband Timmy of Hungards Creek; nineteen grandchildren; thirty one great grandchildren; nine great great grandchildren; siblings, Mark Trivett and wife Judy of Pulaski, VA, Jimmy Trivett and wife Sharon of FL, Bill Trivett of Hilldale, Berta Hunsecker of Hinton and Nora Keaton and husband Ray of Lerona; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins and a special caregiver and niece, Lynn Blevins of Hilldale.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, August 21, 2013 at Ronald Meadows Funeral Parlors Chapel with Robert Anderson officiating. Burial will follow in the Family Cemetery on Will Dodd Rd. Friends may call from 6-8 P.M. on Tuesday.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
