Anna Edmondson

Anna Sue Iddings Barker Edmondson, 70, of Virginia Beach, VA formerly of Hinton, passed away Friday, May 29, 2009 at Bayside Hospital Virginia Beach, VA following a short illness. Born September 16, 1938 at Hinton she was a daughter of the late Glada Hatcher and Charles William Iddings. She enjoyed being a help by working and giving to various organizations, such as United Food Bank of VA who donated food to those in need. She spent many hours caring for many individuals for many years until she became ill. Anna Sue will be sadly missed by all who knew her and she will live in our hearts and lives forever. Preceded in death by her husbands, John Earl Barker Sr. and George Wesley Edmondson; one son, Joseph Barker and one sister, Maxine Harford. Survived by three children, John Barker and wife Deborah of Virginia Beach, VA, Mary Iddings of Bluefield and Deborah Miller and husband Bruce of Bluefield; one step-son, Brian Edmondson of Norfolk, VA; six grandchildren, Christopher Barker and wife Jennifer of Virginia Beach, VA, Jennifer Compton and Andrea Thornsbury both of Scottsdale, AZ, Jennifer, Tiffany, and Melonie Barker all of Virginia Beach, VA; eight great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Graveside service will be held 1:00 P.M. Friday, June 12, 2009 at Greenbrier Burial Park with Pastor Ron Iddings officiating.
