Anna Mae Meadows Grimmett, went to be with her Lord and Savior,

May 2, 2011 at her home, following a courageous battle with cancer. She was loved by many and will be missed each and every day.

Born March 30, she was a daughter of late Emory Alonzo and Essie Mable Wills Meadows. She was also preceded in death by her twin brothers.

She was a member of Cook?s Chapel Baptist Church at Pipestem, where she attended as long as her health permitted.

Employed at Pipestem State Park in housekeeping until her illness progressed

And she was forced to take sick leave. She loved her job and enjoyed meeting different people who came to stay at the park, those who worked with her spoke highly of and how she was dedicated to performing her job.

Survived by her husband, Russell ?Sleepy? Grimmett at home; two daughters,

Tiffany Sears and husband Paul and Anna Cox and husband Bobby both of Hinton

one son, Brian Grimmett of Hinton; four grandchildren Timothy, Jacob, and Morgan Sears of Hinton; Brittany Adkins and husband Charles of Brushfork.

Five sisters, Imogene(Kerney) Carr, Priscilla (Frankie) Hancock, Daisy (Roger) Cassell, all of Bassett, VA; Mildred (William) Smith of Orlando, FL; Burdie

(Tad) Bryson of Elkton, MD; two brothers, Michael (Peggy) Meadows, and twin

Brother, Buck (Patricia) Meadows, both of Pipestem.

Several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews along with her very close and special friends Connie Clayton, Donna Bowles, Donna Maddy and Donna Pivont.

Funeral services will be 11 A.M. Thursday, May 5, 2011 at the Ronald Meadows Funeral Parlors Chapel with Pastor Dallas Peyton officiating. Burial will follow in the Valley View Cemetery at Powley?s Creek. Friends may call from 6-9 PM Wednesday at the funeral parlor. David Harvey, Kenneth Vaughn, Scottie Robinette, Dale Mclaughlin, Jason Breen, Charles Howard Pitzer Jr. will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be the Brother?s of the Wheel Highland Chapter.
