Anna Jean Vandall, 66, of Hinton, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, November 30, 2008 at the Summers Co. Appalachian Regional Hospital at Hinton, following a sudden illness. Born February 3, 1942 at Hinton, she was the daughter of the late Morgan and Lilly Martin Gill. She attended church services at Hinton House Apartments Chapel while her health permitted and was member of the Presbyterian Church. She was a beautician, homemaker, loving mother and grandmother and enjoyed playing bingo and making crafts and spending time with her family. Preceded in death by her first husband, Carroll Gwinn and her second husband, Jackson Vandall, two brothers, Billy Joe and Jerry Gill and one sister, Liz Plumley. Survived by one daughter; Dianna Horton and companion Jeff Ward of Jumping Branch, two sons; Scott Gwinn of Hinton and Shawn Gwinn and companion Crystal Keaton of Pipestem, two grandchildren; Nathan Shawn Gwinn and Marina Gabrielle Gwinn both of Norfolk, VA, one step grandson; Jeffrey Ward of Jumping Branch, two brothers; Mike Gill and wife Carmella and Mark Gill and wife Eva of Hinton, four sisters; Linda Burns and Husband Mike of Judson, Phyllis Crook and Husband Paul of Hinton, Kay Moss and Husband Harold of PA and Emily Richmond of Hinton, several nieces and nephews also survive. Memorial services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Thursday at the Hinton House Apartments Community Room with Pastor Robbie Merritt officiating. Friends may call at the Hinton House Apartments Community Room from 10:00 A.M. until service time on Thursday. In lieu of flowers please make donations to the Hinton House Community.
