Arbutus Osborne Adkins, 76 of Hinton died Tuesday evening September 11, 2007 at the Springfield Center in Lindside following a long illness. Born October 24, 1930 at Milton, she was the daughter of the late James Howard and Eliza Jane Devlin Osborne. Mrs. Adkins was a member of the First Baptist Church of Hinton and a homemaker. Preceded in death by; her husband Ernest H. Adkins three grandchildren and two brothers. Survived by three sons, William H. Adkins of Norfolk, VA, Danny Joe Adkins of Pipestem and Michael Wayne Adkins and companion Debbie of Beckley; four daughters, Mrs. Eliza Marie Bolt of Big Creek, Mrs. Lois Jean Ward of Darlington, IN Mrs. Romona Gay Bolt of Big Creek and Paula Collins and husband Eric of Beckley; one brothers, Donald Osborne of Pontiac, MI; two sisters, Mrs. Augusta Sharver of Tallahassee, FL and Mrs. Ruby Rush of Crawly; fourteen grandchildren and twenty great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Saturday at the Ronald Meadows Funeral Parlors Chapel in Hinton with Pastor Benny Allen officiating. Burial will follow in the Richmond Cemetery at Sandstone. Friends may call at the funeral parlors from 6-8 P.M. on Friday. Her grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
