Armenta O. Richmond, 69, of Hix went home to be with the Lord and loved ones Thursday November 2, 2017 at Raleigh General Hospital having won a courageous battle against cancer.
Born September 15, 1948 at Hinton she was the daughter of the late Samuel and Leva Graham Smith. A member of the Ramp Holiness Church and a former Certified Nursing Assistant she was a homemaker who enjoyed flower gardening, landscaping and spending time with her family. Mrs. Richmond was a loving wife, mother, nanny and great grandmother.
Preceded in death by one daughter, Misty Richmond; one son, Timothy Petrey; two sisters, Velma Richards and Zelma Koury.
Those left to cherish her memory include her husband of 35 years, Terry Richmond at home; one daughter, Lisa Perez of Clarksburg; one son, Craig Petrey of Lester; five grandchildren, Paige and husband Jeremiah, Michael Joe and wife Kadi, Will, Kyle and wife Kasi and Dallas and wife Jayci; nine great grandchildren, Kolby, Lexi, Kylie, Peyton, Mallori, Brantley, Kannon, Sadie Jo and Hudson; siblings, Juanita Wills, Willard Smith and wife Garnett, Charles Smith, Roy Smith, Ronnie Smith and wife Bonnie, Janet Smith and husband Dan, Marie Ratliff and Samuel Smith and wife Darlene; daughter in law, Wendy Stewart; brothers in law, James Richards and Emo Koury; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins and special friends, Lewis and Patricia Cales, Ricky and Angel Myatt, Allen and Janice Sears, Melanie Richmond, Darlene Smith, Hicky and Felix Baker and William and Maurine Bragg.
Funeral services will be 1:00 P.M. Monday, November 6, 2017 at Ramp Holiness Church with Pastor Felix Baker, Charles Smith and Rick Hamrick officiating. Burial will follow in the Breen Cemetery. Friends may call from 11:00 A.M. until time of services on Monday at the church.
Grandsons and family will serve as pallbearers.
