Arthur C. Ayers, 81 of Hinton went home to be with the Lord and his wife Mary
Wednesday, April 10, 2013 at the Bowers Hospice House following a long illness.
Born March 18, 1932 at Hinton he was the son of the late James O. and Pearl Jones Ayers. He was a member of Central Baptist Church. Arthur was a US Airforce Veteran who served during the Korean Conflict. He was a loving, kind and thoughtful man.
Other than his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Mary Ayers, who passed away February 24, 2010; three brothers, Clinton, Bobby and Franklin Ayers; one sister, June Hoover and one nephew, Jonathan Ayers.
Those left to cherish his memory include a special niece, Vickie Trimble and husband John of Oak Hill; other nieces, Terrie Northcraft of Hillsborough, NC, Amy Ayers of Clifton Forge, VA; nephews, Gary Hoover of Fayetteville, Bill Hoover and wife Joyce of Summersville, Michael Ayers of Clifton Forge, VA and a special brother in law James Ward of Hinton.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Friday, April 12, 2013 at the Central Baptist Church of Hinton with Pastor Robbie Merritt officiating. Burial will follow in Restwood Memorial Gardens near Hinton. Friends may call from 1:00 P.M. until time of services at the church.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
