Barbara Smith, 65, of Shady Spring, formerly of Hinton, passed away Friday, May 9, 2014, at Bowers Hospice House following a long illness.
Born July 18, 1948 at Hinton, she was a daughter of the late Russell and Sylvia Graham Adkins.
Barbara was a homemaker and had lived most of her life in Summers County.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William Smith; and four brothers, Charles, Steven "Turkey", Glenn, and Roger Adkins.
Those left to cherish her memory include her daughter, Diann Smith of Shady Springs; one grandson, Khance Roberts of Shady Spring; two sisters, Nancy Chewning and Wilma Byrd; two brothers, Philip Adkins and wife Brenda and Timmy Adkins and wife Cindy; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A gathering of family and friends will be held from 11:00 A.M. until 1:00 P.M. on Monday, May 12, 2014, at the Ronald Meadows Funeral Parlors Chapel.
Arrangements are by the Ronald Meadows Funeral Parlors of Hinton.
