Barger Basil Meadows Jr., 54, of Talcott entered into eternal rest Thursday, April 11, 2013 at his home following a long illness.

Born May 29, 1958 at Talcott he was a son of the late Barger B. Sr. and Helen K. Salisbury Meadows.

He was a member of the Andrew Chapel United Methodist Church. Barger was a retired heavy equipment operator with Vecellio & Grogan and a former member of the Talcott Masonic Lodge. He enjoyed reading the bible, and was an outdoorsman who loved hunting, fishing and gardening.

Other than his parents he was preceded in death by one sister, Agnes Kincaid; one brother, Milton Buford Meadows; three nieces, Audra Helen ?Pee Wee? Meadows, Rondale Parson and Wanda Jean Meadows; two nephews, Brian Meadows and Thomas Koontz and one brother in law, David Fox.

Those left to cherish his memory include a daughter, Missy Jo Sexton Richmond; granddaughters, Courtney and Amber Richmond; siblings, Chester ?Bucky? Meadows and companion Earldine ?Duck? Grubb, Barbara Koontz, Carolyn Huffman and husband Jimmy, Ann Meadows and companion David Dillon, Wilma Fox, Patty Daugherty and husband Daniel, Shirley Winfrey and husband Rick and Beecher Meadows and wife Beth. Numerous loving nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews also survive.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM Tuesday, April 16, 2013 at the Ronald Meadows Funeral Parlors Chapel with Pastors Dana Stalnaker and Roy Gwinn officiating. Burial will follow in the Adwell Cemetery at Ronceverte. Friends may call from 11:00 AM until time of services at the funeral parlors.

Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
