Bessie Rudisill

Bessie Viola Rudisill, 95, of Barger Springs went home to be with the Lord Thursday, December 19, 2013 at Summers County Appalachian Regional Hospital following a short illness.
Born April 28, 1918 at Barger Springs she was a daughter of the late Harmon and Lilly Tabor.
Bessie was a member of the Rollynsburg Baptist Church. She was a former employee of the State Women's Prison at Pence Springs, Chestnut Lodge Mental Hospital in Rockville, MD and had also worked as a social worker for mental health department in Summers County. Bessie enjoyed living on her farm and being outdoors, flower gardening and spending time with family and friends.
Other than her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Bernard Rudisill; one granddaughter, Linda Lou Rudisill; one great granddaughter, Amy Calendine; one brother, Harmon Tabor Jr. and one sister, Mary Ann Gwinn.
Those left to cherish her memory include one son, Chester B. Rudisill and companion Teresa Clayton; two daughters, Delma Ciesielski and Brenda Rudisill; eleven grandchildren, thirty great grandchildren, thirty-one great-great grandchildren, two sisters, India Rudisill and Genevieve Wood and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral services will be held 1:00 PM Saturday, December 21, 2013 at the Ronald Meadows Funeral Parlors Chapel with Pastor Dana Stalnaker officiating. Burial will follow in the Oak Grove Cemetery. Friends may call from 11:00 AM until service time on Saturday at the funeral parlors.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
