Betty Bernice Light, 70, of Forest Hill entered into eternal rest Monday January 2, 2012 at her home following a long illness.
Born July 20, 1941 at Bozoo, she was daughter of the late Hobert M. and Ola A. McClaugherty Clowers.
Betty was an active member of the Forest Hill United Methodist Church serving as secretary and singing in the Church choir. She was a homemaker and enjoyed sewing, bird watching, flower gardening and spending time with her family and friends.
Preceded in death by one grandson, Adam D. Light; two brothers, George Edward Clowers and Hobert R. Clowers; one sister, Marietta Clowers Gunnoe.
She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Phillip ?P.J.? Light at home; two sons, David D. Light and wife Lita C. of Forest Hill and Phillip L. Light and wife Carolyn D. of Shady Spring; four grandchildren, Ryan J., Seth T., Sara C. and Samuel J. Light; a brother, Virgil R. Clowers of Hilldale and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be at 1:00 P.M. Thursday, January 5, 2012 at Forest Hill United Methodist Church with Pastors Sam Haught and Mike McCoy officiating. Burial will follow in the New Hope Cemetery at Marie. The family will receive friends at the church from noon until the time of services on Thursday.
Members of the Church will serve as pallbearers.
