Betty Mann

Betty J. Mann, 74, of Talcott, died Oct. 23, 2007 at the Giles Memorial Hospital following a long illness. Born March 29, 1933 at Braeholm in Logan Co., she was a daughter of the late E. B. and Elizabeth Brooks Nelson. She had lived most of her life at Talcott, a homemaker, Member of the Trinity United Methodist Church, The United Methodist Women and the Talcott Chapter Order of the Easter Star and was a Past Worthy Matron. She was preceded in death by her husband Joe Mann March 14, 1991, one daughter, Debbie Bower February 11, 2007 and one brother James Nelson.She is survived by; three daughters, Cathy Adams of Princeton, Mona Crane and husband Brad of Alderson and Jenny Massey and husband Todd of Christiansburg, VA; one son, Bob Mann and wife Kathy of Union; one son-in-law Eddie Bower of Barger Springs; two sisters, Jean Bowman of Lancaster, OH and Zula Bostic of Atlantic City, NJ; nine grandchildren and six great grandchildren also survive. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Friday, Oct. 26, 2007 at the Ronald Meadows Funeral Parlors Chapel with Pastor Sam Haught officiating. Burial will follow in the Talcott Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral parlors from 6-8 pm Thursday. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
