Billy Jack Cales Jr., 39, of Judson died Monday, February 4, 2008 at his home following a sudden illness. Born October 8, 1968 at Hinton, he was the son of Billy Jack and Karen Buckland Cales Sr. of Hilldale and his biological mother, Imogene Jeffries Cales. He was a 1987 graduate of Hinton High School, a lifelong resident of Summers Co., a welder and construction worker, a member of the Rollynsburg Baptist Church, an avid outdoorsman and hunter who had an uncanny artistic talent. He was an outstanding father to his children. Preceded in death by his paternal grandparents; James Harlow and Carrie Elizabeth Fox Cales, his maternal grandfather; Orville Buckland and a niece; Mona Arape. Besides his parents, he is survived by his wife of 18 years; Michelle Renee Thompson Cales, one son; Billy Jack Cales III and one daughter; Mikayla Marie Cales, all at home, one brother; Stephen F. Cales and wife Almey of Hinton, one sister; Carmen Lea Cales of Hilldale, one half-brother; Earl Buckland and three half-sisters; Cindy, Cheryl and Angie Buckland all of Hinton, his maternal grandmother; Virginia Ellen Buckland of Hilldale, his father and mother-in-law, Robert and Rena Thompson of Judson, one brother-in-law; Josh Thompson and wife Stefanie of Duncanville, TX, three nieces; Samantha Cales, Brittany Cales, Noelle Thompson and one nephew; Brody Cales. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Thursday at the Rollynsburg Baptist Church at Talcott with Pastor George Cook officiating. Burial will follow in the Valley View Cemetery on Powleyâ??s Creek near Hinton. Friends may call at the Ronald Meadows Funeral Parlors in Hinton from 6-9 P.M. on Wednesday. Pallbearers: Mikey Cales, Mike Cales, Bobby Cales, Albert Cales, Ronnie Bower and Adam Merrill.
