Billy Joe Dick, Sr. 35, of Ramp died October 14, 2013 at his home.
Born May 4, 1978 at Summers County he was a son of Dorothy Cales and husband Gary of Ramp and the late Cleo Dick.
Billy attended Lighthouse Church of Jesus and Ramp Holiness Church. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping and spending time with family and friends.
Besides his father, he was preceded in death by his sister, Rebecca Dick.
Besides his mother, those left to cherish his memory include his wife of 14 years, Rachel Brown Dick; two sons, Billy Dick Jr. and Cleo James Dick; two daughters, Juanita ?Nina? Dick and Julie Dick all of Ramp; two brothers, James ?Boone? Dick and wife Jessie of Pearisburg, VA and Hobert Dick and wife Nicole of White Sulphur Springs. He will be sadly missed and never forgotten by his grandma, Ada Mae Ward. He is also survived by two stepbrothers, Larry and Tony Cales of Ramp; one stepsister, April Massie of Mont Cove Lake and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be 1:00 P.M. Friday, October 18, 2013 at Ramp Holiness Church with Pastor Joshua Southern officiating. Burial will follow in the Dick Cemetery at Ramp. Friends may call at the funeral parlors from 6:00-8:00 P.M. on Thursday and one hour prior to services at the church.
Josh Cales, Jerry Cales, Carlos Davis, Jay Gunn, Carey Ward, Gary and Larry Cales, Billy Dick Jr. and R.E. Dick will serve as pallbearers.
