Billy Edward Gill, 54, of Hinton passed away Wednesday June 13, 2018 at his home following a sudden illness.
Born May 2, 1964 at Hinton he was the son of the late William H. Gilpin and Effie E. Gill. A lifelong resident of Summers County and a self-employed carpenter he enjoyed fishing, hunting, making projects in his workshop and spending time with family and friends especially his grandchildren.
Besides his parents he was preceded in death by four sisters, Gladys O'Dell, Margie Bragg, Martha Bragg and Dorothy Teasley.
Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Donna Gill; four children, Amanda Wills and husband Mark, Dianna Jarrells, Larry Jarrells and Anthony Jarrells; four grandchildren, Jacob Adkins, Josh Adkins, Peyton Vandall and Brianna Wills; two brothers, Earles Ray Gill and wife Vada and Garland Gill both of Chesapeake, OH; three sisters, Ruby Mann and husband Glenn of Franktown, CO, Vera Adkins and husband Garland of Talcott and Debbie Gill of Lewisburg, NC. Several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends also survive.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 pm Tuesday June 19, 2018 at the Ronald Meadows Funeral Parlors Chapel with Pastor Jack Ward officiating. Burial will follow in the Keatley Springs Cemetery near Hinton. Friends may call from 1:00 pm until service on Tuesday at the funeral parlors.
Ronnie Ward Sr., Ronnie Ward Jr., Michael Ward, David Smith, David McPherson, Shawn Richmond and Ralph Crawford will serve as pallbearers.
