Bobbie Bradley

Bobbie Jean Upton Simmons Bradley, 64, of Beckley went home to be with Jesus on August 22, 2008 at the Bowers Hospice House following a long illness. Born September 18, 1943 at Jumping Branch she was the daughter of the late Robert and Helen Upton Simmons. She was a deaconess at her church the Spirit of God Ministries of Lester where she was loved by the whole church and her friends in Jumping Branch, Hinton and Beckley. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her grandparents, John and Mamie Arnold Upton and one brother, John Robert Simmons. Survived by one daughter, Donna Jean Upton Nidiffer of Baltimore, MD; one granddaughter, Syreeta Lewis of Baltimore, MD; one sister, Linda Simmons Blankenbeckler and husband Kurt of Sutton; one brother, Frank L. Lucas and wife Okhee of Lawton, OH; two nephews, Willy Lester and wife Tiffany of Blue Ridge, VA and Tomas Blankenbeckler of Sutton; one niece, Amanda Blankenbeckler of Sutton. Funeral services will be held 2:00 P.M. Sunday, August 24, 2008 at the Ronald Meadows Funeral Parlors in Hinton with Rev. Walter Lafferty officiating. Burial will follow in the Upton Cemetery at Jumping Branch. Friends may call from 6-9 P.M. on Saturday at the Funeral Parlors. Robert Sheldon, Donald Sheldon, Michael Vernatt, Brenda, Vernatt, Charles Earl Simmons and Chris Cox will serve as pallbearers.
