Bobby Bennett

Bobby E. Bennett, 66, of Herndon formerly of Hinton passed away Thursday July 15, 2021 at Select Specialty Hospital in Charleston following a long illness.

Born August 6, 1954 at Hinton he was the son of Mildred J. Adkins Bennett of Hinton and the late Russell Samuel Bennett.  A former truck driver he enjoyed hunting, fishing, and spending time with his family and friends.

Besides his father he was preceded in death by three siblings, Debbie Grimmett, Wilma Angell and Russell “Shorty” Bennett.

Besides his mother those left to cherish his memory include his loving and faithful companion of 21 years, Charlotte Mills of Herndon; two daughters, Michelle and Lisa both of Florida; son, Aaron and wife Hannah of Oceana; four grandchildren; one great grandchild; one sister, Connie Ward and husband Tim of Hinton; one brother, Gary Wayne Keaton of Hinton and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 pm Sunday July 18, 2021 at the Ronald Meadows Funeral Parlors Chapel with Pastor Charles McKinney Jr. officiating.  Burial will follow in the Mitchell McKinney Cemetery at Basin.  Friends may call from 1:00 pm until time of services on Sunday at the funeral parlors.

Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
