Bobby Lewis Hocum, 59, of Sandstone formerly of Wilson, N.C. died 11:15 P.M. Thursday, July 14, 2005 at his home surrounded by his family, following a long illness. Born October 21, 1945 at Charleston, W.V., he was a son of the late Edgar Alexander and Virginia Ellen Bowles Hocum. Retired from Saint Gobain Container Co. where he worked as a Mold Maker and was a member of the Ramp Holiness Church. Bobby was the type of a person who had a great love for his fellow man. Preceded in death by his first wife Mary Grace Kipping Hocum. Survived by his wife: Peggy Harrell Hocum of Wilson, N.C.; one son: Duane Alan Hocum of Woodbridge, V.A.; one stepson: Michael Brewer of Wilson, N.C.; one stepdaughter: Crystal Johnson of Wilson, N.C.; and two step grandchildren; one sister: Edna Hocum Harless and husband Dolphus of Ramp; two brothers: Roy Hocum of Ramp, Travis Hocum and wife Janet of Hinton. Several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral service will be held 2:00 P.M. Saturday, July 16, 2005 at the Ramp Holiness Church with Pastor Felix Baker officiating. Burial will follow in the Oâ??Bryan Cemetery at Hix. Friends may call at the church one hour prior to services. Friends and Family will serve as pallbearers. In lieu of flowers the family has requested that donations be made to the Ramp Holiness Church. Arrangements are by the Ronald Meadows Funeral Parlors of Hinton
