Bonnie Jean Ayers

Bonnie Jean Ayers, 80 of Sandstone, WV, passed away peacefully on April 9, 2025, in Cleveland, Ohio. Born on January 26, 1945, in Beckley, West Virginia, Bonnie lived a life rooted in faith, family, and service to others.

Bonnie was a devoted wife to Garry Ayers and a loving mother to their children, Darlene Brammer and husband Jim and her son, Lee Ayers. She cherished her role as grandmother to Carlee Bixel and husband Colton and grandson, Ashton Ayers. Bonnie also loved her brother, Basil Campbell dearly. She was preceded in death by her parents, George "Bonny" Campbell and Loretta Tredway Campbell.

A woman of deep conviction and unwavering compassion, Bonnie dedicated much of her life to sharing her Christian faith. Her greatest desire was to lead others to know Jesus Christ - a mission she embraced with grace and sincerity throughout her life. As a member of Word of Faith Assembly in Daniels, West Virginia, she found joy and purpose in worship, fellowship and service. Her commitment extended beyond the church walls through her active involvement with West Virginians for Life for more than 30 years.

Bonnie’s generosity of spirit touched many lives. Whether offering a warm meal from her kitchen or lending an ear to a friend in need, she always gave freely of herself. She found her ultimate peace and inspiration at her home in the mountains of West Virginia and treasured time spent with friends and family. Her love for cooking brought people together around the table - moments filled with laughter, stories, and heartfelt connection.

A funeral service honoring Bonnie’s life will be held at Ronald Meadows Funeral Parlor, 130 Temple Street, Hinton, West Virginia 25951 on Thursday, April 17, 2025 with Pastor Dan Holstein officiating. The service will begin at 1:00 PM with burial following at the King Cemetery at Ramp. A public viewing for friends will precede the service starting at 11:30 AM.

Bonnie Jean Ayers leaves behind a legacy of faithfulness, kindness, and enduring love. May her memory bring comfort to those who knew her and continue to inspire all whose lives she touched.
