Bonnie Williams, 96, of Hinton went home to be with the Lord Tuesday, January 4, 2011 at Summers County Appalachian Regional Hospital following a long illness.
Born November 26, 1914 at Beckley she was the daughter of the late Erastus Lee and Avis Alice Meador Basham. A member of Four Mile Baptist Church at Wiggins she was a homemaker and a lifelong resident of Summers County. A loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother who enjoyed spending time with her precious grandchildren, she was the last surviving member of her immediate family.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James Clifford Williams Sr., three brothers; Lacy, James and Omer Basham, five sisters Stacie Ferguson, Gracie Farley, Willie Pearl Farley, Daisy Lilly and Verona Ruth Smith.
Those left to cherish her memory include one son, James Clifford Williams Jr. and wife Brenda of Hinton; two grandchildren, Melissa ?Missy? Ward and husband Andy of Hinton and Mark Williams and wife Jessica of Zion Mountain and five great grandchildren, Megan, Zachary and Katie Ward and Landon and Abbey Williams.
Graveside service and burial will be held 11:00 a.m. Thursday, January 6, 2011 at Greenbrier Burial Park with Pastor Bill Fox officiating. There will be no visitation.
