Boyd Gill

Boyd Ray Gill, 60, of Beckley, formerly of Tug Creek, Hinton, died Friday, February 29, 2008 at the Bower Hospice House at Beckley, following a battle with cancer. Born December 26, 1947 at Hix, in Summers Co., he was the son of Naomi Gill of Hinton. Preceded in death by one son, Raymond Boyd Gill. Besides his mother, he is survived by his wife of 42 years, Delores Gill at home. Two sons; Danny Ray Gill of Beckley; and David Lee Gill and wife Betty of Daniels; One daughter; Debra Gill Cochran and Husband Stuart of Roanoke, Va. Five Grandchildren, Bryan, Brittany, Ashley, Andrea and Amberlee Gill; Two Brothers, Lloyd Dale Gill and wife Helen of Oak Hill, Jerry Dennis Gill and wife Sherrie of True; Three Sisters, Shirley Gill Wills and husband Teddy of Hix, Kathy Gill Kesner and husband Earl of Hinton and Libby Gill of Hinton. Funeral services will be 3 PM Monday, March 3, 2008 at the Ronald Meadows Funeral Parlors Chapel with Pastor Melvin Wills officiating. Burial will follow in the Gill Family Cemetery at Tug Creek near Hinton. Friends may call at the funeral parlors one hour prior to services Monday.
