Brenda Dick

Brenda Mae Dick, 57, of Sandstone, Died Thursday, June 5, 2008 at the Summers Co. Appalachian Regional Hospital at Hinton, following a long illness. Born December 21, 1950 at Sandstone, she was the daughter of the late Earl and Emma Williams Dick. Brenda was a very cheerful person even with her constant battle with Lupus. She was child-like in the ways of the world. She always saw the best in people and things going on in the world. Preceded in death by one brother, Cleo Dick and one niece, Rebecca Dick. Survived by seven sisters; Zelma Ryan and husband John of Charlotte, MC, Joyce Neely and Husband Glen of Hinton, Julie Cox and Emma Staley and Husband Al of Greensboro, NC, Kathy Ward and husband Charles of Sandstone, Jeannie Wilson and husband Paul of Summerfield, NC and Amy Dick of Sandstone whom Brenda had reared as her daughter, two brothers; Charles Dick and wife Young Sue of Charleston, SC and Robert Dick and wife Susan of Sandstone. Brenda helped rear her many nieces and nephews who survive her. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Sunday at the Ronald Meadows Funeral Parlors Chapel in Hinton with Pastor Patricia Cales officiating. Burial will follow in the Earl Dick Cemetery at Ramp. Friends may call at the funeral parlors from noon until funeral time on Sunday. Her nephews will serve as pallbearers.
