Brian Grimmett

Brian E. Grimmett, 46, of Hinton died in the early hours at his home on Monday March 29, 2021 following a sudden illness.

Born June 24, 1974 in Hinton he was the son of Russell “Sleepy” and companion, Patricia Biars of Hinton and the late Anna Mae Grimmett.  Brian loved animals especially his cat “Crooked Neck” and his other babies, “Benji, Niner, Lulu and Precious and we can’t forget his chickens.

Besides his mother he was preceded in death by his sister, Tiffany Sears and several Aunts, Nellie Blackburn, Phyllis Young, Debbie Grimmett, Sadie Grimmett and Imogene Carr.

Besides his father he is survived by his sister, Anna Cox and husband Bobby of Hinton; friend, Dolly Steers of Hinton; Three nieces, Brittany McClure and husband Nicholas of Bluefield, Morgan and Kendall Sears of Jumping Branch; two nephews, Timothy and Jacob Sears of Jumping Branch; great nephew, Nolan McClure; great niece, Ensley and one more on the way, brother-in-law, Paul Allen Sears and wife Joyce and several uncles, aunts and cousins.

Funeral services will be held 1:00 pm Thursday April 1, 2021 at the Ronald Meadows Funeral Parlors Chapel with Pastor Robbie Merritt officiating.  Burial will follow in the Valley View Cemetery at Powley’s Creek.  Friends may call from 11:30 am until service time on Thursday at the funeral parlors.

Bobby Cox, Timothy Sears, Paul Allen Sears, Eddie Sea, Edward Andrews, and William Andrews will serve as pallbearers.

Brothers of the Wheel will serve as honorary pallbearers.
