William T. ?Buddy? Thomas, 81, of Hinton died April 5, 2010 at his home following a short illness.
Born November 3, 1929 at Pence Springs, he was the son of the late William T. Thomas Sr. and Ellene Bragg Thomas. Buddy was a lifelong resident of Summers Co., retired from the C&O Railroad having worked on the track dept, served his country in the United States Army and attended the Ministry Place in Hinton.
Preceded in death by three sisters, Helen, Betty and Brenda Gale and three brothers, John Edward, Bobby Jack and Sammy Richard Thomas.
Survived by three brothers, James Thomas and Roger Thomas both of Hinton and Eddie Thomas and wife Sarah of Hilldale; three sisters, Shirley Bowling and husband Elliott of Shady Spring, Mary Landis of Wheaton, CO and Catherine Adkins of Hinton and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held 12:00 Noon Saturday, April 10, 2010 at the Ronald Meadows Funeral Parlors Chapel with Pastors Robbie Rodes and Elwood Cales officiating. Burial will follow in the Talcott Cemetery. Friends may call from 10:00 A.M. until service time on Saturday.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
