Buran E. Meadows, 91, of Manassas, VA formerly of Hinton died Friday, January 3, 2014 in the Shenandoah Memorial Hospital following a short illness.
Born October 14, 1922 at Brooks, he was a son of the late Henry and Edna Cales Meadows.
Buran was a U.S. Army WWII Veteran. He retired from C&O Railway following many years of service. Buran enjoyed fishing and spending time with family and friends. He was the last surviving member of his immediate family.
Buran was preceded in death by his wife, Mabel Jane Cox Meadows; three brothers and three sisters.
Those left to cherish his memory include three daughters, Gale Meadows Holcomb and husband Tom of Manassas, VA, Sharon Kay Meadows of Maxwelton and Pamela Whorton and husband Mike of Manassas, VA; two grandchildren, Brian Adkins and Brad Adkins; three great grandchildren, Dakota, Karensa and Braxton.
Funeral services will be 1:00 P.M. Monday, January 6, 2014 at the Ronald Meadows Funeral Parlors Chapel with Pastor Lawrence Bennett officiating. A private burial will follow. Friends may call from 11:00 A.M. until time of service.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
Arrangements are by the Ronald Meadows Funeral Parlors of Hinton.
