Burleane Mumpower

 Burleane Mumpower, 88, of Hinton, formerly of Richmond, VA went home to be with the Lord Tuesday, August 13, 2024 at her home following a courageous battle with dementia.

 Born July 3, 1936 at Ivanhoe, VA she was a daughter of the late Garnet Mitchell and Oakley Robinson Porter.

 Burleane was an operator for Phillip Morris for 38 ½ years. She was a member of the Red Hat Society. Burleane enjoyed accompanying her son in Sing at South in many different countries in the late 70’s. She also enjoyed many church activities.

 Burleane was preceded in death by one grandson, Joshua Logan Mumpower; three brothers and two sisters.

 Those left to cherish her memory include one son, Craig “Pup” Mumpower and his partner Artimus Drysdale; one grandson, Charles “Mitchell” Mumpower; one great granddaughter, Madelynn Mae Clarke - Mumpower; one sister, Tommie Porter - Sheffey and husband John Sheffey and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

 Memorial services will be 6:00 P.M. Tuesday, August 20, 2024 at the Ronald Meadows Funeral Parlors Chapel where friends will be able to speak and celebrate Burleane’s life. A time of fellowship with the family will be held from 5:00 P.M. until time of services. At her request her body has been cremated and her remains will be spread between her mother and father privately at a later date.
