Carmen Gene McGuire Sr., 60, of Hinton went home to be with his Lord and Savior Saturday November 14, 2015 at his home following a long illness.
Born February 28, 1955 at Springdale he was the son of the late Elmer McGuire and Drema Cales McGuire Blankenship and his stepfather, Paul Blankenship of Hinton. He was a United States Army Veteran, Coordinator of Summers Co. Services Council, Equipment operator for Slurry Paving Co. Carmen enjoyed hunting, fishing, attending auctions and spending time with his family and friends especially his grandchildren.
Preceded in death by his grandson, Daniel Jacob McGuire.
Those left to cherish his memory include his loving wife of 41 years, Bonnie McGuire of Hinton; two sons, Ryan S. McGuire and fiancé Joni Wickline of Hinton and Carmen G. McGuire Jr. and fiancé Alisha D. Yoder of Hinton; seven grandchildren, Marcus Carmen McGuire, McKenzie Taylor McGuire, Evan Scott McGuire, Keyonna Jazmyn McGuire, Nicholas Wickline, Nathan Wickline and Shelby Laws; three brothers, Tinker Cales and wife Carol, Dennis McGuire, Greg Blankenship and Angie Blankenship and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 am Thursday November 19, 2015 at the Ronald Meadows Funeral Parlors Chapel with Pastor Benny Allen officiating. Burial will follow in the McGuire-Hanshew Cemetery at Springdale. Friends may call from 6-8 pm on Wednesday at the funeral parlors.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
Arrangements are by the Ronald Meadows Funeral Parlors of Hinton.
