Carol Faye Cooper Lilly, 73, of Jumping Branch passed away Sunday, January 10, 2016 at Bowers Hospice House following a long illness.
Born May 23, 1942 at Little Bluestone, she was a daughter of the late Elisha B. and Letha B. Basham Cooper.
Carol was a member of the Jumping Branch Tabernacle and former employee of Pipestem State Park. She enjoyed music, playing her guitar, singing hymns, but most of all, spending time with her family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her two sisters, Lorene F. Maddy and Maxine Maddy Ward.
Those left to cherish her memory include her husband of 58 years, Aubrey "Cricket" Lilly at home; two daughters, Kathy Pack of Jumping Branch and Karen D. Lilly of Mabscott; two sons, John A. Lilly and wife Brenda of Mabscott and Danny R. Lilly and wife Mandy of Jumping Branch; seven grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; one sister, Helen A. Lilly and husband Frank "Doc" of Jumping Branch; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be 1:00 PM Wednesday at Jumping Branch Tabernacle with Tom Coffman officiating. Burial will follow in the Odie Meador Cemetery at Jumping Branch. Friends may call from 11:00 AM until time of services Wednesday at the church. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Hospice of Southern West Virginia.
