Carolyn J. Williams Seckel

Carolyn J. Williams Seckel, 82, of Hinton formerly of Munhall, PA went home to be with the Lord Tuesday, December 31, 2024 at Summers Healthcare Center following a short illness.

 Born October 27, 1942 at Hinton she was a daughter of the late James P. and Ora Maxine Williams. 

 Carolyn was a Licensed Practical Nurse having retired from the VA Medical Center where she received numerous service awards over the years. She enjoyed playing bingo, watching television and livestreamed church services from Central Baptist Church of Hinton and spending time on the New River when she was young. Carolyn was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who dedicated her life to helping others and always putting others needs before her own. 

 She was preceded in death by her husband, John J. Seckel Jr.; two sisters, Joyce Ann Anderson and Janet Dieli.

 Those left to cherish her memory include her son, Robert J. Merritt and wife Mary Beth of Hinton; two grandchildren, Nathan Merritt of Martinsburg and Zachary Merritt of Charleston and a special nephew, Shawn Anderson and wife Carla of Winfield. 

 A memorial service will be held at a later date.
