Carrie Davis

Carrie M. Davis, 90, of Ballengee, died Friday at 5:16 P.M. at the Summers Co. Applachian Regional Hospital at Hinton, following a long illness. Born August 30, 1015 at Wayside, she was the daughter of the late Ote and Ada Pitzer Hudson Wilson. Mrs. Davis was a homemaker and a member of the Oak Grove United Methodist Church at Ballengee. She was preceded in death by her husband, Verdo Davis, one brother, Eugene Hudson and one sister, Zula Iddings. Survived by one son, Otis Long of Ballengee, one daughter, Brenda Dodson of Culpepper, VA, three grandsons, one granddaughter, four great granddaughters and several nieces and nephews, including a special niece, Eva Bradley of Union. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Monday at the Ronald Meadows Funeral Parlors Chapel in Hinton with Pastor Sam Haught officiating. Burial will follow in the Oak Grove Cemetery at Ballengee. Friends may call at the funeral parlors from 6:00 until 9:00 P.M. Sunday. Men of her church will serve as pallbearers.
