Cecil Underwood

Cecil Edeford Underwood Sr., 78 of Jumping Branch, died Wednesday, March 22, 2006 at the Heartland of Beckley, following a long illness. Born July 12, 1927 in Franklin Co., Va., he was the son of the late James Arthur and Pearl Turner Underwood. Mr. Underwood was a lifelong resident of Summers Co., he was a retired mechanic and truck driver for D. B. Abshire, an Army Veteran of WWII and a member of the Mary Jane United Methodist Church at Streeter. Survived by eight children, twenty-one grandchildren, several great grandchildren and one sister.Funeral services will be held at 8:00 P. M. Monday, March 27, 2006 at Ronald Meadows Funeral Parlors Chapel where friends may call from 6 P.M. until service time. Private burial service will be held at a later date.
