Charles Cooper

Charles Vesker Cooper, 64, of Streeter, died at 4:10 A.M. Monday at the Charleston Area Medical Center, Memorial Division, following a short illness. Born May 24, 1940 at Streeter, he was a son of the late Reva Cooper Burdette and is survived by his father, Vesker Meadows and wife Garnett of Jumping Branch. Mr. Cooper was a construction worker and a member of the Bluestone View Primative Baptist Church at Ellison. Besides his mother, he was preceded in death by a sister, Susie Lilly. Besides his father, he is survived by four sons, Gary Cooper and wife Kim of Pearisburg, VA, Donald Cooper of Christiansburg, VA, Mike Cooper of Pilot, VA and Charles Cooper of Radford, VA; two daughters, Debbie Bland of Christiansburg, VA and Missy Price and husband Anthony of Floyd, VA; a special cousin, Jack Pack of Streeter with whom he made his home; three brothers, Melvin Basham of Beckley, Glenn Ray and Larry Burdette both of Indiana; one sister, Lottie Adkins of Beckley four grandchildren and one great grandson also survive. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday at the Rhoda Ann Baptist Church at Streeter with Elder Tom Pack officiating. Burial will follow in the Pack Family Cemetery. Friends may call at the Ronald Meadows Funeral Parlor in Hinton from 6-8 P.M. Tuesday and at the church one hour prior to services.
