Charles Deaver

Charles Thomas ?Chuck? Deaver, 59 of Lerona passed away, Saturday, February 13, 2010 at Princeton Community Hospital following a courageous battle with cancer.
Born May 14, 1950 at Hinton he was the son of the late Herman T. and Lottie Belle Gill Deaver. A member of the Lerona Church of Christ, Chuck served his country first as a Specialist in the Military Police and later as a reservist with 22 years of service as a Sergeant in the WV Army National Guard, former employee of WV American water co as a first class plant operator, enjoyed hunting, fishing and he was an accomplished artist and designer but most of all he was a loving and special husband, father and brother.
Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his son, Jason Charles Deaver and one brother, Paul Edward Deaver.
Survived by his wife of 35 years Theresa Jo Strattis Deaver of Lerona, one sister, Edna Kathern Bragg and husband Bill of Pence Springs, one brother, William Earl Deaver and wife Vickie of Marie, four nieces, Caitlin and Courtney Deaver, Beth Bennett and Kimberly Caudell; mother-in-law, Jackie Strattis of Pipestem; one sister-in-law, Vanessa Strattis and husband Richard Derby of Pipestem; extended family, Woodrow and Claire Brackenridge of Stuart, FL, Rick and Jeanette Brackenridge of Stuart, FL, Vic and Don Trout of Ft. Lauderdale, FL; his best friend, Robert ?Bobby? Parker and wife Connie of Carbella, Montana and his fishing buddy Glen Shrewsbury of Lenora and numerous other loving friends and family and his beloved companions Missy and Smoky
Funeral services will be held 1:00 P.M. Monday, February 15, 2010 at the Ronald Meadows Funeral Parlors Chapel with Minister Danny Hazelwood officiating. Entombment will follow in the Roselawn Memorial Park. Friends may call from 11 A. M. to 1 P.M. on Monday at the funeral parlor.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
