Charles Henry Martin, 81, of Forest Hill, died this morning, October 3, 2011, at the Charleston Area Medical Center Memorial Division, following a long illness.
Born March 3, 1930 at Summers County, he was the son of the late John Edgar and Minnie Michael Martin.
Charles worked most of his life in gardening and was a handy man. He was a member of the Friendship Baptist Church at Forest Hill.
He is survived by one brother, William ?Bill? Martin and wife Nellie, of Forest Hill, with whom he had made his home with for the past 35 years and several nieces and nephews, including one special niece, Mary Jane Martin Weikle.
Graveside service and burial will be held at 1:30 PM Wednesday, October 5, 2011 at the Martin Family Cemetery at Forest Hill with Pastor Joe Spencer officiating. Friends may call at the Ronald Meadows Funeral Parlors from 11- 1:00 PM Wednesday.
