Charles O. Richmond, 61, of Elk Knob passed away Friday November 9, 2007 at the Summers Co. Appalachian Regional Hospital following a long illness. Born August 6, 1946, at Elk Knob he was a son of the late E.M. and Mildred Grimmett Richmond. Charles was a lifelong resident of Summers Co., a deacon of the Bennett Memorial Chapel and a self employed timberman for 30 years. Preceded in death by one brother, Ronald â??Ronnieâ?? Richmond. Survived by his wife of 37 years, Imogene Ward Richmond; three daughters, Lisa Carol Richmond at home, Mary Ann Smith and husband Billy of Vanceburg, KY and Doris Jean Naik and husband Santosh of Elk Knob; one granddaughter, Abby â??Little Doris Jeanâ?? Naik of Elk Knob; one brother, Noah â??Rogerâ?? Richmond and wife Mary of Hix; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Monday November 12, 2007 at the Ronald Meadows Funeral Parlors Chapel with Travis Hocum officiating. Burial will follow in the Cales Cemetery on Chestnut Mountain. Friends may call from 6-9 P.M. on Sunday at the Funeral Parlors. Billy Smith, Ron Lilly, Tyler Bennett, Randy Ward, Allen Brinegar, Grayson Brinegar and Delwood Kesner will serve as pallbearers.
