Christopher Keith Gray, 33, of Hinton went home to be with the Lord, Saturday December 31, 2011 at his home following a lifelong illness.
Born August 25, 1978 at El Paso, TX he was the son of Curtis and Dottie Gill Gray of Hinton. Christopher was actively involved with the research of epidermolysis bullosa, the illness he battled against his whole life, enjoyed trading, four wheeling, knife collecting and the outdoors but he really loved helping children who were sick with transportation to their medical appointments.
Preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Willard and Alice Gray and his maternal grandparents, Arnold Edward and Rosie Gill.
Besides his parents he is survived by one brother, Anthony Keith Gray and companion Amanda Rose of Hinton, four uncles, six aunts, numerous cousins and many friends.
Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 3, 2012 at the Ronald Meadows Funeral Parlors Chapel with Rev. Delmas Wolfe officiating. Burial will follow in the Fox Cemetery at Brooks. Friends may call from 6-9 p.m. on Monday at the funeral parlors.
Bobby Wills, Kevin Wills, Jason Breen, Mike Massey, Christopher ?Deek? Smith and Willie Gill will serve as pallbearers.
Gary Gill, James Zimmerman, James "Chester" Cales and Donnie Cales will serve as honorary pallbearers.
The family would like to thank Hospice of Southern WV, Dr. Stanley Day and staff, Big Four Drug Store, Sherry White and Bernice Hartwell for their care given during Christopher?s illness.
