Clara Katherine Meadows, 82, of Meadow Bridge, formerly of Madams Creek entered into eternal rest Sunday, March 23, 2014 at Summers County Appalachian Regional Hospital following a long illness.
Born September 15, 1931 at Hinton she was a daughter of the late Curtis and Thelma Goddard Egner.
Clara was a member of the Mt. Olivet Church. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. Clara was a homemaker having lived all of her life in Summers County. She enjoyed embroidery and participating in activities at Main Street Care.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John H. Meadows; one son, Terry L. Meadows and one brother, Donald R. Egner.
Those left to cherish her memory include one son, Tom Meadows and wife Javeanie of Meadow Bridge with whom she made her home; one grandson, Shaun Meadows and wife Jamie of Beckley and one granddaughter, Monica Meadows of Meadow Bridge.
Graveside service and burial will be held 1:00 P.M. Wednesday, March 26, 2014 at Lilly Crews Cemetery with Pastor Scott Ingelton officiating. Friends are asked to meet at the cemetery from 12:30 P.M. until time of services. In lieu of flowers donations of sympathy may be sent to Main Street Care, 1500 Terrace St. Suite 300, Hinton, WV 25951 in her memory.
