Clarence R. ?Rouster? Wills, 92 of Madams Creek, Hinton went home to be with the Lord 2:30 a.m. Thursday July 19, 2012 at his home following a short illness.
Born June 19, 1920 in Summers Co. he was the son of the late Rev. Willie and Grace Ellison Wills and was a lifelong resident of Summers Co. He was a Veteran of the United States Army having served his country during World War II, enjoyed trading horses and mules, retired truck driver for R.T. Rogers Oil Co, he formerly drove for Atlas Transfer and Crooks Produce and was a member of the Laurel Creek Baptist Church.
Preceded in death by two brothers, Ray and Norvel Wills and five sisters, Wanda Johnson, Lucille Waddell, Edith Wills, Virginia Dare Wills and Ethel Bennett.
Survived by his wife of 68 years, Ada Virginia Hamm Wills; four sons, Jimmy Wills and wife Sue of Hinton, Robert Allen Wills of Hinton, Pastor Melvin Wills and wife Shirley of Shady Spring and Eddie Wills and wife Ginger of Hinton; six grandchildren, Jimmy Wills Jr., Michael Wills, Curtis Wills, Allen Wills Jr., Andy Wills and Libby Meadows; nine great grandchildren and two sisters, Mabel Fox of Madison and LaVonna Pauley of Charleston.
Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m. Saturday July 21, 2012 at the Ronald Meadows Funeral Parlors Chapel with Pastors Melvin Wills and Robbie Merritt officiating. Burial will follow in Restwood Memorial Gardens with Military Honors. Friends may call from 6-8 p.m. Friday July 20, 2012 at the funeral parlors.
Grandsons and a special nephew will serve as pallbearers.
