Columbus Maxwell "Fritz" Ward, 82, of Richmond, VA, was called home on July 11, 2015.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Myrtle Ward Taylor; father, Russell Ward and sister, Pauline Ward.
He is survived by his six children, Robert Wayne Ward, Richard Carl "Ricky" Ward, Ernest Maxwell Ward(Teresa), Michael Edward Ward(Cathy), Deborah Ward Warriner and Diane Ward(Leroy); 13 grandchildren; five great grandchildren; and one special nephew, Adolphus Ward. Mr. Ward was a U.S. Army veteran and was retired from E.I. DuPont with 32 years of service.
His family will receive friends 2:00 to 4:00 pm and 6:00 to 8:00 pm Wednesday at Bliley's-Chippenham, 6900 Hull Street Rd. A funeral ceremony will be held 2:00 pm Friday, July 17, 2015 at Ronald Meadows Funeral Parlors, Hinton, WV with Gary Adkins officiating. Burial will follow in the Cales Cemetery on Chestnut Mt. The family will receive friends from noon until time of services at the funeral parlors.
