Connie Johnson Gill

Connie Faye Johnson Gill, 65, of Tug Creek Mountain Road went home to be with the Lord at 7:15 P.M. Monday, June 1, 2020 at Bowers Hospice House following a courageous battle with cancer.

Born July 12, 1954 at Gauley Bridge she was a daughter of the late William E. and Helen Simms Johnson.

Connie was a former CNA who cared for the elderly through the Summers County Council on Aging and gave specialized care to her special “Donna.”  She enjoyed bingo, quilting, crocheting, church activities and spending time with her family and friends, laughing and joking.  Connie was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, wife, aunt, sister and friend to all who knew her.

She was preceded in death by one brother, Eddie Johnson and adopted daughter, Donna Gill.

Those left to cherish her memory include her husband, Ray Gill at home; one daughter, Angela Moye Dulaney and husband Dwayne of MI; one son, Wayne Moye of MI; one grandson, Bradley A. White and fiancé Halley McGinnis; one great grandson, Spencer Allen White; two sisters and three brothers.

For the safety of the family and community, services will be private at this time with Pastors Robbie Rodes and Robbie Merritt officiating.
